The Farm Progress Show brings in thousands of farmers and agribusiness professionals each year. That makes the Farm Progress Show a tremendous opportunity for Crop Production Services (CPS), the largest ag retailer in the world, and their seed division, Dyna-Gro. We worked with CPS to create a tradeshow experience that attracted and engaged attendees to either generate new leads or deepen relationships with current clients.
- Collected prospects’ contact info. One of the easiest ways to attract traffic to your booth is by holding a giveaway. We made entering the contest easy with iPad-based registration, which allowed us to capture emails and addresses for future communications. More than 800 people entered the drawing at the Farm Progress Show for a chance to win a YETI cooler.
- Created an attention-getting entertainment experience. We developed a trivia game that visitors could play via their own smartphone, answering ag-related questions on a giant screen via a web app. Not only did this attract attention, it kept visitors in the booth for a longer period of time, allowing for CPS reps to connect.
- Supported the next generation of farmers. In order to add another component of interactivity, we held a contest that asked visitors to vote for their favorite FFA chapter, with the winners earning $3,500 in donations from CPS. All told, 975 votes were cast in the FFA contest.
- Made a visual impact. We also incorporated a large HD truck that operated as a giant video billboard outside the tent. As people walked by, the truck scrolled through surprising ag stats interspersed with CPS video clips.
