The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is the largest technology show in the world. Product launches. Mind-blowing demos. Major announcements. It's "the event" for techies & journalists alike. However, all that fanfare wasn't necessarily translating into more members for the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), the organization behind the CES show.
CEA came to Alt Studios for rebranding, marketing and recruiting assistance. With more than 2,000 member companies from every segment of the consumer electronics industry, we wanted to expose more businesses to the true value of CEA to make their membership drive successful.
- Increased awareness and changed perceived value. First and foremost, we had to prove that CEA is about much more than a tradeshow. There are sustained benefits for members: business tools, networking opportunities, education/training. CEA also listens to members and serves as the electronics industry's voice on Capitol Hill.
- Built brand tools. Alt Studios unified CEA's marketing collateral, including designing and copywriting brochures for specifically targeted recruitment of members: from highlight pieces for general audiences to more in-depth materials to speak to higher level decision-makers.
- Targeted email marketing. Alt Studios wrote and designed recruiting emails tailored to specific member segments.
- Provided data visualization. Alt Studios conducted research and shared findings in easy-to-digest infographics. Content included statistics surrounding CEA, benefits to members, history, participation levels, etc. CEA could incorporate these infographics in multiple formats.
