85 years in business is a rare accomplishment. To celebrate its 85th anniversary, Iowa State Bank wanted to thank fans for helping reach that milestone. The bank held a month-long contest to reward its customers and community members, giving away an $85 gift card each week.
Recognizing the importance of social media, Iowa State Bank wanted to feature the contest on Facebook to increase its exposure – any interaction would mean opportunities to get their name out to friends of fans as well. Alt Studios helped Iowa State Bank build the Facebook contest, implement cross-media promotional efforts and measure the outcome.
- Exposed the Iowa State Bank brand to new audiences. Facebook provides the unique opportunity to amplify your message. We used targeted Facebook advertising to reach people living in and around the bank's locations. Also included share features within the contest to increase viral possibilities.
- Strengthened relationship with existing customers. Alt Studios built several online and offline components: email marketing for Iowa State Bank's database, website banners, Facebook content and printed takeaways in bank locations.
- Measured success of the campaign. After running the Facebook contest campaign for one month, Iowa State Bank's Facebook following increased by 727 "likes," from 162 to 889 (a 450% boost).
- Built long-term marketing opportunities. Iowa State Bank was able to grow its mailing list for future communications, capturing participants' contact and opt-in information.
